    About Us

    The Longbottom family have been farming in Padthaway, South Australia since 1938. Onions, sheep and cattle have long been their main stay. In 1993 the first vines were planted. Now over 400* ha are dedicated to wine grape production with 6 varieties being produced.

    The Farmer

    Our farmer has a name – Scott Longbottom. His family have been farming in Padthaway for 4* generations.
    The unique limestone soils are a part of our farmer’s DNA. This passion for the land is evident in every bottle of wine produced by Farmer’s Leap.

     

    Our Vision

    Our vision is for Farmer’s Leap wines to be recognised as a quality brand. A bottle of wine you can pick from your shelf or cellar and you know what you are going to get!
    Quite simply, a bottle of Farmer’s Leap wine, is a bottle you can trust and enjoy. Whilst remaining true to our values, history and region, that makes our wines worth selecting and drinking every time.

    Growing up with an inquisitive mind, an aptitude for science and surrounded by vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, Oenology at the University of Adelaide was a natural fit for Renae. With extensive Australian and international vintage experience, Renae’s uncontrived winemaking style was the perfect fit for Farmer’s Leap.

    All orders are processed and distributed by Farmer’s Leap. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18.
